Ben Haenow has opened up about his life as a ‘stay-at-home dad’ after welcoming a baby boy with wife Jessica last year.
The 2014 X Factor winner, 37, who launched a music career after the show with a £1m record deal, announced in November 2020 that he was expecting his first child with wife Jessica.
Ben says he loves his role as a father but admits it can be hard work at times, telling the Sun: ‘I’m at home a lot with the baby so I’m like a stay-at-home dad. great, but it takes a lot of work to take care of him.

Adding to his role as a father, he said: “Some parts are easier than I thought they would be, and some are more stressful.”
The pop star went on to say that he and Jessica have talked about having another baby next year.
He said: “We only have one at the moment, but we might be thinking of having another one next year, but one is enough for now.”

Ben and Jessica announced they were expecting in November 2020, with the singer taking to Instagram to break the news to fans.
Sharing an image from a scan, Ben wrote: “So me and my beautiful wife are working on a new release for next year @j_amy_haenow and we made this new little beat together! It’s a stoneker!!
“By far the best thing I’ve ever done and we couldn’t be more excited #familyiseverything #overthemoon #mybaby.”

Ben tied the knot with long-term love Jessica in an intimate ceremony in Northern Italy in 2017.
He told MailOnline the day was all he had dreamed of, joking: “I cried so many tears of joy, I needed a ventilator.”
Ben revealed that she was actually his “Nonna”. [nan] Rita who performed the ceremony efficiently as she translated for the English guests which made it even more special.

He said: “We got married in a small town in Northern Italy, where my nanny grew up, near the River Brenta.
“We had a small ceremony with our closest friends and family. I arrived nervous and excited for the biggest day of my life and left with the woman of my dreams after a fairytale wedding.
“This is the beginning of our happily ever after.”
The couple have been together for 12 years and Ben popped the question in November 2016.
