Worker Seriously Injured After Trench Collapse In North York

The incident happened just before 11 a.m. near Warlock Crescent and Sawley Drive, which is north of Finch Avenue East and east of Bayview Avenue.
According to Toronto police, a worker, whose age is not known, was trapped in a trench whose sides collapsed.  According to information, the man was unconscious.
Emergency responders were able to extricate him and perform CPR before he was rushed to the hospital via EMS, police said.
Toronto Paramedics told CP24 they assessed a second person at the scene, but it’s unclear if that person was also trapped in the ditch.
The depth of the dugout is not known.
