Police were called to a property in Masefield Road, West Melton, South Yorkshire at around 10.15pm on Friday. Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended and found a woman, 43, with a fatal bite wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The 42-year-old man who called 999 has suffered a life-changing injury to one arm, as well as injuries to his other arm, stomach and face. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. The dog, along with another on the property, were secured by police. No dog is a prohibited breed.
