A newborn baby boy died tragically on Friday when a pack of monkeys stole him from his parents and threw him off the roof. According to multiple reports, Nirdesh Upadhyay of Bareilly, India, was standing on the third floor rooftop with his wife and child when the animals landed and surrounded them. Nirdesh reportedly tried to escape them with the 4-month-old when the baby fell from his arms to the ground and one of the monkeys grabbed him before he could get him back and threw him to the side. The monkeys then allegedly attacked them as well. MONKEY GRABBED 12-DAY-OLD BABY FROM MOTHER’S ARM AND BITED HIM TO DEATH The family was reportedly preparing to celebrate the child’s name day when the tragedy occurred. Bareilly’s Chief Conservator of Forests, Lalit Verma, said, according to the Press Trust of India, that the incident has been reported and an investigation is underway. In 2018, a monkey fatally bit a 12-day-old child after it was taken from its mother’s arms.
