Two days after turning heads in a nipple-baring sheer pink Valentino dress at the Italian fashion house’s couture show in Rome, Florence Pugh is speaking out about the ‘vulgar’ comments – many of them criticizing her breast size – she’s been receiving from then . On Sunday, the English actress took to Instagram to address the comments sent to her by men who sent her the revealing dress at the Valentino Haute Couture fashion show in Rome on Friday night — “all because of two cute little nipples. she noted. “Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a comment,” the Black Widow star wrote. “Whether it was negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink of nervousness. I wasn’t before, during or even now after.” Pugh, 26, went on to address the flood of comments she received in response to her bold look. “What was interesting to watch and see is how easy it is for men to completely destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for all to see,” she wrote. “Do you even do that with job titles and work emails on your resume? “It’s not the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last time, that a woman will hear what’s going on with her body from a crowd of strangers,” the Oscar-nominated star continued. “What’s disturbing is how gross some of you men can be. Thankfully, I’ve come to terms with the intricacies of my body that make me, me. I’m happy with all the ‘flaws’ I couldn’t bear to look at when I was 14.” Many of you wanted to aggressively tell me how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’ or how I should be ashamed of being so ‘flat’.’ However, the negative comments haven’t shaken the Don’t Worry Darling star’s confidence. “I have lived in my body for a long time,” Pugh wrote. “I’m fully aware of my breast size and I’m not afraid of it. What’s more disturbing is… Why are you so afraid of breasts? Small? Big? Left? Right? Just one? Maybe none? What. It’s. Well. Scary .It makes me wonder what happened to you that you feel so satisfied that you are so upset by the size of my breasts and body? The story continues “I’m very thankful that I grew up in a household of very strong, strong curvy women,” she added. “We were raised to find strength in the folds of our bodies. To be strong to be comfortable. It’s always been my mission in this industry to say ‘f*** it and f*** that’ whenever someone expects my body to transformed into a view of what is hot or sexually attractive’. A defiant Pugh didn’t mince her words as she called on men to “grow up” and stop being “vocally abusive” to women and their bodies. I wore this dress because I know. If in 2022 it’s so easy for you to vocally abuse women in public, then the answer is that you don’t know. Grow up. Respect people. Respect the bodies. Respect all women. Respect people. Life will get a lot easier, I promise.” Pugh makes “highly abusive” comments about women after being targeted.
