First responders attend a motor vehicle incident on the Trans-Canada Highway in Valleyview Sunday afternoon. Traffic was slowed on Highway 1 through Valleyview Sunday afternoon as emergency crews responded to a vehicle incident. Police, Kamloops Fire and Rescue were on the scene at the crash, which happened at Oriole Road and the Trans-Canada Highway just before 4 p.m. One person was seen being loaded into an ambulance. According to DriveBC, the vehicle incident blocked the westbound lanes of Highway 1 and reduced eastbound traffic to one lane. From 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, a westbound lane appeared to be moving. “Please use caution and expect delays,” DriveBC said. There is no official information yet on the number of vehicles involved or the severity of injuries caused by the incident.
