The platform said this new feature is now live for some users for a limited time after the company started experimenting with the idea earlier this year, The Verge reports. “We continue to explore new ways for people to collaborate on Twitter,” Twitter spokesman Joseph J. Nunez was quoted as saying by the site in a statement. “We’re testing CoTweets for a limited time to learn how people and brands can use this feature to grow and reach new audiences and strengthen their partnerships with other accounts,” added Nunez. In a tweet from the Create Twitter account, the company confirmed that the feature is available for select accounts in the US, Canada and Korea. Several Twitter users have tested this feature, and the experience allows the primary author of the tweet to invite someone else to be tagged in the tweet and discuss the content via DM, the report said. The second account must approve the co-authored tweet, and the resulting tweet appears to be co-authored by two people, but replies appear to be directed only to the primary author of the tweet, he added.
