Police records from 2009 to 2014 showed domestic disputes between Robert Crimo III’s parents, Robert Crimo Jr. and Denise Pesina, which included allegations of both verbal and physical abuse. In one of the police reports dating back to 2010, Crimo Jr. he claimed that Pesina had “hit him with a screwdriver on the left forearm,” but later denied adding this to his written statement. In another incident, he claimed she hit him on the head with a shoe. A report from August 2010 details Crimo Jr.’s allegations. that a fight started over their “failed relationship” after he said he came home to find his wife drunk. Pessina told police she was upset about an incident earlier in the day when Crimo Jr. he had “disrespected and put her down” and the row started after he “started commenting on her bad looks”. The reports also describe drunken episodes and multiple, escalating arguments. The documents also include allegations of harassment by a neighbor, but no arrests have been made in connection with those reports.
