A gym owner is “traumatized” after being called horrific racist slurs in letters from the DVLA. Marvin Greaves, 40, doesn’t own a car or vehicle, but he received a calendar from the licensing agency on Wednesday. The mysterious letter named the dad-of-six as ‘Black Nr Pussy’. The next day, he received another letter calling him ‘Marvin Chocolate Nr Greaves’. Marvin, who helps keep young people off the streets and at the gym in Oldham, Greater Manchester, was “stressed and depressed” after his ordeal. “It was a formal letter, brown envelope, and it came to the address of my gym,” he said. “It’s definitely racist and someone authorized it to be sent to my gym address. “I was wondering how it could be sent. Even if someone has done it online, someone has to authorize it.” The dad-of-six is known in the community for helping young people off the streets (Image: Kennedy News and Media) Marvin claims he received another racist letter the following day (Image: Kennedy News and Media)

We are investigating urgently and will pass our findings to the police.’ Marvin claims the DVLA officer who reported it asked him to “finish the paper immediately”, but he refused. He said: “Someone has to authorize it and do the checks. It is either a stolen vehicle or someone has been pulled over. “It must be someone who knows me, who knows my address. I am an advocate for the community of people in my community. “I take them off the streets, get them to the gym and keep them positive. I fix a lot of problems in Oldham and I have a high profile to do things like that. “For me to receive this, it has bottomed out.
