        The public are thanked for their “understanding” of the road closure         

A driver suffered back and neck injuries after a crash in Douglas today. Emergency services were called to Old Castletown Road just after 1pm. Firefighters assisted in removing the injured person from the vehicle through “assisted extrication.” Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes to secure the car. Members of the public have been thanked for their “understanding and patience” during the road closure. Old Castletown Road has now reopened.
