Following a personal request by Hugh Grant on Twitter, Brexit protester Steve Bray (@snb19692) played the theme song of British sitcom ‘The Benny Hill Show’, known as ‘Yakety Sax’, outside Parliament. “Morning @snb19692,” Grant, who played the UK prime minister in the movie “Love Actually,” wrote Thursday morning. “Glad you got your speakers back. Do you happen to have Benny Hill’s music on?” Bray, who is known in London for his music-based protests amid Brexit, set up loudspeakers outside Westminster and honored Grant’s request in full force. The comedy song is even played in the background of live news broadcasts as reporters relay the latest developments on Johnson’s resignation. Johnson resigned as leader of the Conservative Party on Thursday but said he would remain prime minister until the party chooses his successor.
