News Lead: The AJC reported that the grand jury is seeking access to the full recording of a call that took place in January 2021 between then-U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia Bobby Christine and his staff.
On the call, Christine said she had dismissed two voter fraud cases because they didn’t have enough evidence.
The big picture: A Georgia judge also ruled Friday that Republican lawmakers must testify before the grand jury handling the investigation, Axios’ Emma Hurt reports.
The grand jury will not issue an indictment in the investigation, instead making recommendations regarding criminal charges for consideration by the Fulton County District Attorney. Key Trump allies, including attorney Rudy Giuliani and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R.C.), have also been extradited.
