Special Constable Paul Hoile, 40, based in the North West Force Command Unit, was arrested in Benfleet, Essex, at around 10.30pm on Wednesday on suspicion of rape and charged on Friday. He has been charged with three counts of rape and an offense under section four of the Sexual Offenses Act. He will appear at Kidderminster Crown Court on Saturday in connection with an incident on Tuesday, West Mercia Police said. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and the officer has been suspended.
