There is a problem with aspects of Canada’s telecommunications network this morning. Many people who are with Rogers are unable to activate their devices. The holiday map shows widespread holidays, but mainly in eastern Canada. Not only are internet, mobile, cable, phone and alarm monitoring services affected, but people may also be unable to access billing and credit services. Many businesses may only accept cash. Service NL says that due to the outage Motor Registration will not be able to process Interac transactions. Phone lines in the City of St. John’s are not operational, they will not be able to charge or credit the Access Center or Robin Hood’s Bay. VOCM News is following the story and will. have information as it becomes available. NOTE!!! Due to the nationwide shutdown of Rogers, MRD offices are unable to process Interac transactions. Cash or check only until services are restored. We apologize for any inconvenience. @VOCMNEWS @NTVNewsNL @CBCNL @OfficialOZFM @coast1011 @StJohnsTelegram #GovNL — Digital Government and Services NL (@DGS_GovNL) July 8, 2022
