Photo: CTV News Alberta police were called after a suspect was shot by officers in northeast Calgary Sunday night. Police were called to a home on Coventry Hills Way NE near Harvest Hills Blvd. N. at approximately 9:45 p.m. for reports of an unknown male with a gun trying to enter the building. When they arrived, police say they tried to de-escalate the situation but were unsuccessful, prompting two officers to discharge their service weapons. The suspect received immediate medical attention at the scene and was transported to the hospital in non-life threatening condition. No police officers were injured during the incident. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating.
