An RCMP spokesperson confirmed with CHEK News that the incident that occurred in an area in front of the Service Canada Center building on Jubilee Street was a homicide. The spokesman declined to provide more information but said there was no danger to the public. On Saturday morning, many police officers were seen in the area and had blocked off parts of Jubilee Street and Kenneth Street near Government Street. Multiple evidence markers can be seen in front of the Service Canada Center building on Jubilee Street A witness told CHEK News they heard sirens around 3 a.m. Saturday and several police vehicles were there around 6 a.m. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
