It happened near Joe Shuster Way and King Street West around 2:50 a.m. Sunday.
Police say two groups got into some sort of verbal altercation, which eventually led to one group attacking the other group.
Multiple injuries were reported as a result, including one person who was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Police say the group that carried out the attack was last seen heading east on King Street West.
Surveillance images showing at least five different suspects have been released and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
