The 25-year-old left-back has won four Premier League titles with the Citizens since joining them in 2016 from Ufa. But with City in talks for Brighton left-back Mark Cukurella, Zinchenko is undermining Pep Guardiola’s mandate at the Etihad Stadium. As a result, Arsenal made a move for the Ukrainian, with a £30million bid from the Gunners accepted on Saturday. However, Zinchenko is still in talks with the Gunners over the personal terms of his contract, with the two sides still discussing the players’ wages. Should negotiations progress, Zinchenko is expected to be announced as an Arsenal player early next week. Zinchenko would be Arsenal’s fifth signing of the summer after Arteta already added Brazilian youngsters Marquinho, Matt Turner Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus to his squad. He would add much-needed competition to Arsenal’s left side, where Kieran Tierney is currently first choice.
