Parkbus, a not-for-profit organization that provides bus transportation from major cities to nearby parks and conservation areas, has announced its summer weekend schedule, including the new route. Normally, you would need a car to travel to Bruce Peninsula National Park, where the cave is located, as it is about four to five hours north of Toronto. The two Toronto area pickup locations include 34 Asquith Avenue (Yonge-Bloor) and Trinity Common Mall in Brampton. Passengers can choose to drop off at 22 Hay Bay Road, a five-minute walk from Tobermory town centre, or at Cyprus Lake Campground. Cyprus Lake and the famous cave are too far to walk from town, but those disembarking from the Cyprus Lake Campground will be able to access the trails to the cave. Parkbus, which also includes cave entry passes, does not recommend that people visit Tobermory on a day trip as there won’t be enough time to see everything before the bus heads back into town. The regular fare for a round trip from Toronto costs $129, while student fares are $116 and $65 for children.
