The couple, who first announced they were expecting a child in February, revealed the birth on Saturday morning. In a joint social media post with her partner, Adams said they felt “instant love” for their baby, who already has his own Instagram account. His name has not yet been revealed. The 39-year-old former Strictly Come Dancing star said: “We are so excited to announce to the world that baby Adams has arrived. “The first moment we looked at you we felt an instant love and the strongest bond. “We went to the moon and back to get you and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives watching you grow up.” Photos accompanying the post showed them smiling at the hospital and with their arms around their son’s tiny feet. In a statement, Adams added: “We are so excited to welcome our son into the world on Saturday morning around 7am. “Nothing prepares you for this moment in life, but I am so overwhelmed with love and proud of Ella.” The baby already has more than 1,800 followers on Instagram. Famous friends congratulated them – including BBC presenter Clara Amfo, singer Fleur East and Strictly Come Dancing pro Johannes Radebe. Anatoli said, “Ahhhh congratulations!!! Welcome to the world baby!” The couple, who have been together for four years, had shared an ultrasound when they first announced the pregnancy. Adams previously said the couple had gone through two unsuccessful rounds of IVF, with Baig, a model, miscarrying. They started trying to capture in 2019. Adams said there is a “stigma attached to the IVF process” and a lack of parenting books for same-sex families. The former professional boxer made history in 2020 as part of Strictly Come Dancing’s first same-sex couple alongside Katya Jones. They were forced to abandon the series early after Jones tested positive for COVID-19.
