Police arrived at 205-17 116th Ave. in Cambria Heights after receiving a threat from a man identified as Raul Hardy shortly after 6 p.m., sources said. Hardy, 60, said he would “change the government” by killing New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York Commissioner Kitsad Sewell and also threatened to “blow up” people, according to law enforcement sources. Responding officers shot and wounded the suspect after he opened fire, according to the NYPD. A cousin of Hardy’s told The Post he came to the crime scene after receiving a call from another relative warning his aunt was in trouble. I got a call from his cousin in Washington.
