After taking the lead with two laps to go in a frantic finish, Chase Elliott won the Quaker State 400 by dropping a block on Corey LaJoie to earn his third win of the 2022 season and his first at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Elliott’s win is the first for a Georgia-born driver at Atlanta Motor Speedway since Chase’s father, Bill Elliott, won in the final race of the 1992 season. After five different drivers each won two races this season, Elliott’s three victories are now the most of any driver this year, moving him one step closer to the regular season championship and atop the playoff leaderboard.
