Red Earth Cree Nation emergency response coordinator Allistair Nawakayas confirmed the search for Young has ended.

No details have been released about the location where Young was found. Global News has reached out to the Saskatchewan RCMP but has yet to hear back. Young disappeared April 19 near his home on the Red Earth Cree Nation, more than 200 kilometers east of Prince Albert, Sask.

At the time, Saskatchewan RCMP regular support began “thorough, targeted searches” of the river banks as water levels had receded since the last attempt. “Frank used to play outside with the neighborhood kids,” said Frank’s grandmother, Teresa Whitecap. “He was creative. He was a fun lover.… Frank took pride in making things for his caregiver, Barb. He was so proud of the things he made for her.” “The day Frank went missing, everyone jumped into action,” Whitecap said. “From the first day Frank went missing, we became a family.
