The first officer on a superyacht docked at St. John’s Quay is closed to the ship’s passengers who fell so in love with St. John’s during a trip last year, they decided to return.
Austin Miller works on the Legacy, which is moored at the dock along with its support vessel, the Pursuit.
Miller says the crew of both boats is like “one big happy family.”
Legacy, based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, docked in St. John’s last year en route to Iceland. Miller says while it’s his first trip to Newfoundland’s capital, they were looking forward to docking in St. John’s.
Miller, who is originally from Chicago, says that while in St. John’s to do some work, he hopes to have some downtime to explore the city.
He calls the city beautiful, especially sailing through the Straits.
