Declan Rice is staying at West Ham this summer amid reports linking him with a move to Chelsea or Manchester United. That’s according to Hammers manager Stuart Pearce, who insists Rice will stay put. Rice’s English compatriot Calvin Phillips joined Manchester City for £45m. And Pearce believes Rice’s valuation is much higher than that. He told talkSPORT: “No, no way. If you speak [Kalvin] Phillips at £45m, you talk about Sterling costing £45m, what will West Ham do with £45-50m? “Absolute waste of time. Dave has been adamant, the board have been adamant at West Ham that Declan is not going anywhere and Dave will build a team around him. He is so critical. “There’s no way he’s leaving.”
