Liverpool will not sign any new midfielders this summer, manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed. The Reds signed midfield duo Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsey at the start of the summer transfer window. And Klopp has no plans to add any more stars to his packed midfield. He said: “Like I said if nobody wants to leave – and no player has come to me with that request yet and I don’t really expect it, to be honest – there’s no need for a new midfielder. “We can’t just add midfielders. We respect the contracts with our boys as well, that means as long as we signed them, they will have our full support – in training, between training, during games and between games. “That’s the situation we have. Really, you can count our midfielders. And, for me, Harvey Elliott is also a new signing, after last season how he started. He’s very young, he came back brilliant, then he was a bit low, that’s perfectly normal after being out for so long. Well, I’m very excited to see him.”
