According to the Buena Park Police Department, officers responded to the scene after reports of shots fired. Officers on the scene determined there was no shooting, but began investigating reports of an altercation. ABC7 viewers called Eyewitness News and reported seeing panicked guests. Authorities closed the park around 8 p.m. and asked visitors to avoid the area. It is unclear if there were any injuries. Meanwhile, Knott’s Berry Farm released the following statement: “The safety of Knott’s Berry Farm guests and associates is always our first priority. On Saturday night, the decision was made to close the park 3 hours early due to unruly behavior and altercations involving several teenagers. This behavior does not align with our values of the park and was not the experience we would want any guest to have when visiting Knott’s Berry Farm.” This is a developing story.
