The Reds will take on the Red Devils at The Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, kick-off at 14:00 BST. Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Klopp shed some light on the players who will be involved, with two of the club’s three summer signings playing a role. Fabio Carvalho looks likely to be in line to start the match and, despite only starting pre-season training on Sunday, Darwin Nunez will also feature. “The international boys started with us again on Monday but, as you can imagine, they’re back in great form, which is no surprise, so that means they’ll get some time tonight,” Klopp revealed. “We’re going to make a lot of changes, of course, throughout the game. It will be needed. It means Darwin will be in the team and Fabio will be playing for us for the first time and I’m sure our supporters will be happy about that. One player who will not be involved is Diogo Jota, who is still recovering from an injury he picked up while on international duty with Portugal at the end of last season. Klopp, however, insists the striker’s absence is nothing more than a precaution. “The plan for United is to use all our players, except maybe a couple. We’ll see, but we know one of them is Diogo because of a little issue he’s had since earlier in the summer,” he continued. “It’s nothing serious, but we decided not to take the risk with him for this game, especially as it’s only our first game in pre-season. “Almost all the other boys will all get a few minutes. We’ve brought a big team here, some young guys and the older guys, and we’re giving them all some time.” There is also the possibility that the match will come too soon for Thiago Alcantara, who was another injured at the end of last season and did not fully train in Bangkok on Monday. That’s not confirmed, though, and the fact that Klopp didn’t comment on it might suggest he’s fine with playing a part. Full team news will be confirmed in the early afternoon.
