Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were very polite and friendly during their Wimbledon appearance, says body language expert. In a chat with the Mirror, Judy James reflected on the duo’s bond. “Their first visit to Wimbledon came at a time when expectations were still high that these two women might be the best of friends. “What we saw from their body language then was a display of politeness that did not entirely suggest close ties of friendship. Kate looked like a well-kept hostess and Meghan seemed to enjoy her company, but there were little to no convincing signs of anything more intimate. “Although as first day rituals, it seemed to leave the door partially open in terms of building relationships. “The laughter seemed shared and genuine, but there was no real subsequent relaxation of posture or an increase in bond signs or eye control signs to suggest that these were the early stages in a developing friendship.” Speaking about the second visit, Ms James added: ‘By the time of the second visit there seemed to be some subtle signs of potential tension from Kate, who seems to have adopted a more ‘adult’ attitude. “Kate was still a very gracious and friendly hostess, but it’s pretty obvious that the engagement signs showed no signs of any growing or maturing levels of closeness or relationship behind the scenes. “The two women laughed together and even turned together to chat with someone behind them, but as they turned back their smiles seemed to fall at about the same time.
