Crews were called just before 8pm to the 7bone restaurant.
Firefighters from St Mary’s, Hightown, Redbridge, Eastleigh, Hamble and Winchester are battling the blaze and the road has been closed.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The road has been closed and residents in the area are being asked to keep their windows and doors closed due to the smoke.”

Friday night revelers in nearby venues stopped to capture footage as flames burst from the roof of 7bone.
Fire crews are still working – as of 9:30 p.m. – to extinguish the fire.
