Kamloops RCMP say a local man lost his license after he caught the attention of a traffic officer. On Monday around 2:40 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the 400-block of Victoria Street when he observed a vehicle pull out of a parking lot and stall, police said. According to police, the Mountie got into the vehicle, which was carrying three people. Police said the driver failed a roadside breath test, indicating a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08. The driver was banned from driving for 90 days and 30 vehicles were impounded under the Motor Vehicles Act.
