I’m crossing my fingers. “I’m really tired, but I’m taking it day by day to smooth out the ups and downs.” Speaking at a TV awards event in London, Kate, who also has 12-year-old son Billy with Derek, added: ‘I’m trying to embrace life, especially the kids, as we’re two and a half years into it (Derek’s battle) . “Their lives have changed and they have to do things. “I showed Derek pictures of Darcey in her prom dress and now he can press a button and FaceTime her. “It was heartwarming and amazing to watch her grow overnight.”
