Kelly Brook can’t stop smiling. But it’s not surrounded by burgers and milkshakes in our shot at a restaurant that puts a smile on the 42-year-old model and presenter’s face – it’s the massive rock on her left arm that waves proudly. 6 Kelly Brook marries partner of seven years Jeremy ParisiCredit: Mark Hayman 6 SlimFast star Kelly insists she won’t lose weight for her weddingCredit: Mark Hayman 6 The couple say they are getting married within the next two monthsCredit: Instagram/Kelly Brook
After four broken engagements – and a rejected proposal from her current partner Jeremy Parisi [she popped the question in 2018 when they were on holiday in Antigua, but he said no as the timing wasn’t right] – Kelly finally ties the knot. And she’s wasting no time as she and her partner of seven years have already scouted wedding venues in his native Italy in a bid to tie the knot within the next two months. This gives Kelly some time for the pre-wedding diet that many brides embark on – but as the face of diet brand SlimFast, she doesn’t care, because she’s perfectly happy with her body. Although Kelly is shy to discuss her upcoming wedding. He says, “Oh, no [I’m not going on a diet]. I haven’t even thought about that, to be honest. I’ve been on a diet for a few years now, and I’m at the weight I love and will stay at that weight no matter what happens in the future.” Kelly met Jeremy, 37, after “DMing him” on Instagram when she saw him in a video online. The model hails from a small village near Rome, but grew up in Paris and moved with Kelly to Kent before they went public on Instagram in April 2015. Before meeting Jeremy, who is very private, Kelly had a number of high-profile relationships – including engagements to actors Jason Statham and Billy Zane, as well as Sky One’s Gladiators’ David McIntosh. She also dated rugby lothario Danny Cipriani. Kelly had previously ruled out having children after losing her baby girl when she was five months pregnant with England rugby star Thom Evans in 2011 and suffered another miscarriage later that year. She has long believed that Jeremy – her fifth fiance – is the one. She explains that she is reluctant to reveal the details of his proposal because: “I just have to protect my partner. He’s not in the public eye and usually doesn’t like to talk about things we do in private. “As much as I’m big-mouthed and like to talk about everything I’ve done, he’s the complete opposite. And I think you should respect your partner’s wishes. “Everyone wants an element of privacy. It’s not about hiding things, it’s just about having moments that are yours and no one else’s. And that’s very important to Jeremy and me. It’s the same with my family. When you have someone in the family who is in public and has been for so long, there is so much of you sharing with the world. And sometimes your family is quite protective when things are shared before you want them to be. So I have to do everything I can to protect them and their feelings.” While she doesn’t want to go into details about their relationship, Kelly adds: “Jeremy and I have been together for seven years now. We are very happy. Everything is going in the right direction – that’s the main thing.” Kelly’s life has completely changed since she met Jeremy. Before that, she lived in Los Angeles and was a gym fanatic. She says that when they first met, they loved nothing more than going out to dinner, and before she knew it, she started putting on weight. “I was definitely someone who didn’t eat that much when I met Jeremy. I didn’t really relate to the food, to be honest. And when I met him, he kept saying: “So, shall we eat?” Jeremy loves pasta – he could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. “In any relationship, you always tend to get fatter. You are happy, you are comfortable. You sit around more and go out clubbing less. You are totally in this love bubble, and that was definitely the case for me. “We were living in Kent and going for pub lunches and the weight just piled on. My lifestyle changed completely from being a model, I was working in Los Angeles on a TV show [One Big Happy]going to Barry’s Bootcamp three times a week.

There is no gym within 10 miles

Suddenly, I’m back in the English countryside, where there isn’t a gym within 10 miles. I was just hanging out in my garden drinking gin and just having a great time. But apparently, it wasn’t so good for my waistline.” Three years ago, while posing on a red carpet, having reached a size 16, a photographer he told her to “inhale.” That’s when Kelly decided she had to take action. Subscribed to SlimFast 3.2.1. designs, throws 2nd, and has designed a new Fakeaway campaign for the brand. She combined her love of cooking with making healthy alternatives to her favorite foods. “I hadn’t been on a red carpet in a few years,” she explains. “I think they [the photographers] they were shocked to see me looking curvy. “I lost 2nd and have kept it. Then in lockdown I realized you can fake a takeaway in a healthy way. When all the restaurants I love closed, I recreated some of my favorite recipes at home, including Wagamama Chicken Curry or McDonald’s Big Mac Sauce. “People who follow me on social media know how much I love to cook. And being with an Italian-French guy, every day we talk about what to eat for lunch or dinner. Jeremy does most of the cooking – he’s very good. He works out every day, so I don’t think he’s missed a meal in the seven years we’ve been together. It’s a lot like, ‘Lunch and dinner, we have to sit down and eat,’ and there’s no negotiation.” Kelly also likes trying to keep fit, but admits the Peloton bike she bought in lockdown isn’t being used as much as she’d like. “I still use it to hang my washing up – I’ve got to get the bloody thing! I tend to be more of a Pilates girl. But I’m that typical girl who buys 10 sessions, does two and then doesn’t come back for three months. I’m a nightmare trying to keep anything just because I’m so busy.” It sure is. Despite being branded ‘air’ when she replaced Denise Van Outen as co-host of Johnny Vaughan’s Big Breakfast in 1999, she managed to maintain a 20-year career in the industry, including a stint back in LA where she landed a role in the sitcom Ellen DeGeneres One Big Happy in 2015. “I was probably a bit crazy when I first started because I was only 18 and I think there was a certain naivety about me. You are presented with many opportunities when you are young and you may not take things as seriously as you should. “I think that’s why I came back to LA. I was there in my 20s, but I wasn’t quite focused on my career. I came back so driven and totally committed to achieving my goal and then it happened.” What does she make of Ellen’s epic downfall, with the 64-year-old described by some as a “mean soul” and her chat showing “a toxic work environment” on set? “I had a wonderful experience with Ellen,” says Kelly. “He saw my audition tape. I was living here in the UK and he flew me over for a screen test with all the other cast. She was a big fan of mine. “He really wanted me for the role and was really pushing for me and getting me out to the networks. I found her so supportive and sweet. So I was surprised to see a lot [negative press] – but that’s the nature of our business. People are people at the end of the day. “No one is an amazing person 24/7, and when you’re in public, everyone looks at you to screw it up. But most people say she’s really nice, so I was really surprised.” The show was axed after one season and Kelly returned to England, saying: “LA is a very boring place to live. The pace is too slow.” And today she seems very content with a good relationship and a “dream” job presenting the Heart Radio drivetime show. “I’ve found this happy medium of having a bit of the old me back, where I’m busy, but also this new me, where I actually have a lot more time for my family. I’m in that space where I want to have a boyfriend that I can eat with, I want to have a healthy home life. And I feel like I’ve struck that nice balance now. “I definitely look back at some older photos of myself and see that being thinner doesn’t mean you’re happier – and you have to remember that. It’s not that I don’t want to be fit and healthy, because I do. But it’s not the be all and end all [to be thin]. # “I’m happiest when I’m 12 [her current size] – that’s when I fit into all my clothes. I don’t mind wearing a bikini. That’s my happy weight for my body, but that’s not everyone’s happy weight.” One of the photos Kelly loves to look back on is her red carpet appearance at the premiere of Snatch in 2000 with ex Jason Statham, where she stole the show in a pink Julien Macdonald dress that flashed her bum. and her tits. “No [I don’t still have the dress], I think I sent it back to Julien and he will have it in his files. I’m not even sure I’d turn my left leg over now! “I remember that time, my stylist Marcela [Martinelli] He told me: “You have to wear it, because you will look…
