I’m a simple, straightforward person who likes the simple, simple things in life — the color pink! Red carpets! Acclaimed actress Florence Pugh!

Well, it’s a glorious day for me — because Florence wore a sheer pink Barbie dress to the Valentino Haute Couture Fall/Winter 22-23 fashion show.

The collection is titled “The Beginning,” and you can definitely see parallels between what Florence wore and what was on the runway:

For glam, Flo kept things pretty simple with slicked back hair and fluffy brows. The look was further styled with some matching platform pumps and a youthful dazzle bag.

Florence posted the photos on Instagram with the caption, “Technically covered up? Thanks again my beautiful team for making my pink princess dreams come true.”

However, following the online backlash over her look, Florence took to Instagram with another series of photos with the caption: “Listen, I knew when I wore this incredible Valentino dress there was no way there wouldn’t be a comment.”

“I was excited to wear it, not a wink of nervousness. I wasn’t before, during or even now after,” she continued. “What’s been interesting to watch and watch is how easy it is for men to completely destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for all to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails on your resume…?”

“It’s not the first time and it certainly won’t be the last time a woman hears what’s going on with her body from a bunch of strangers, what’s disturbing is how gross some of you men can be,” she continued. “So many of you wanted to aggressively tell me how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’ or how I should be ashamed of being so ‘flat’.”

“I have lived in my body for a long time. I am fully aware of the size of my breast and I am not afraid of it. What worries me the most is… Why are you so afraid of breasts? Small? Big? Left? Right Only one? Maybe none? What. It’s. So scary.”

She added, “Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect people. Life will be much easier, I promise. And all thanks to two cute nipples…”.

Of course, Flo wasn’t the only celebrity at the event — Anne Hathaway, Charles Melton, and Ariana DeBose called for more pink:

If the hot pink looks pretty familiar, it might be because other celebs have rocked Valentino on the red carpet — like Billy Porter and Saweetie at the Grammys:
