Former President Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump has died aged 73 after being found unconscious near the bottom of a staircase in her New York apartment. “It is with great sadness that I inform everyone who loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has died at her home in New York. She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman, who led a great and inspiring life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told Fox News that police responded to a 911 call on Thursday and found the 73-year-old unconscious. Upon arrival, officers observed a 73-year-old female unconscious. EMS responded to the location and determined the victim was deceased at the scene,” the spokesperson said. PHOTOS: An NYPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that no foul play is suspected and that police are outside her Upper East Side home for security reasons. An NYPD spokesman also told Fox News that Trump was found unconscious “nearby” at the bottom of a staircase in her apartment. The New York Fire Department responded to a report of cardiac arrest at Trump’s residence Thursday afternoon, a source told Fox News. A law enforcement source told Fox News that someone at Trump’s residence called police to request a well-being check because he hadn’t seen her in a while. When authorities arrived, they opened her door and found her at the bottom of the stairs, but it’s unclear if she fell. Ivana Trump was born in 1949 in Czechoslovakia. She then became an icon in her own right, known for her style and elegance throughout the 1980s, along with her accent and signature beehive hairstyle.
