A boy, 13, also suffered an arm injury following the incident at the Tivoli Friheden amusement park in Aarhaus, the country’s second city. The park said on Facebook that the accident happened when the track was in operation and part of the rear carriage broke. Police were called to the scene at around 12.50pm local time on Thursday to reports that a car had got stuck in a drive and people were stuck. The theme park’s director, Henrik Ragborg Olsen, told local newspaper Ekstra Bladet that the two rear seats of the Cobraen roller coaster were hanging “under the carriage train”. Two people were sitting in the back seats and were taken to hospital, the newspaper said. A police investigation is now underway into the cause of the tragedy, which occurred about 97 miles (156 kilometers) northwest of the capital, Copenhagen. In a later statement, the park said: “It is difficult for us to put into words today’s tragic accident in which a girl lost her life and a boy was injured. “Our heartfelt thoughts are with the girl and her relatives, family and friends.
