Rescue crews helped save an injured bicyclist in the Myra Canyon area Saturday night. In a brief press release, Central Okanagan Search and Rescue says search and rescue personnel and members of the Kelowna Fire Department were called to the Myra Canyon area for a report of a bicyclist who had hit his head on the KVR Trail. COSAR e-bike members started from the Myra Station side, while KFD members used their Gator UTVs to enter the trail from the Ruth Station area. The cyclist was found and treated for a head injury before being taken to an ambulance. “COSAR would like to thank the employees of Myra Canyon Bicycle Rental for their assistance,” says COSAR. The incident was the 51st job COSAR responded to this year and the sixth on the KVR Trail.
