Google launched the $50 Chromecast with Google TV in 2020, creating a rather exciting and cheap streaming solution in Australia, Europe and the US. Unfortunately, the device didn’t land in India at the time, but that’s finally changing today. Google has announced that Chromecast with Google TV is available in India today via Flipkart, starting at Rs 6,399 (~$80.48). The search giant adds that the streaming gadget will be “coming soon” to other retailers. The new streaming gadget offers 4K HDR playback, Dolby Vision support and the Google TV platform for improved suggestions, multiple profiles and watchlist support. The latest platform also means you have access to many apps. However, the device makes its financial pitfalls known when it comes to storage, offering only 8GB of space to play with. Moreover, the device is ~$30 more expensive in India. So those who want more storage or a cheaper price should look at other TV streaming boxes on the market. However, former Android Authority reviewer David Imel thought it was “easily” one of the best Android TV gadgets on the market at its starting price of $50. In other words, everyone else should consider this device if they need a streaming box. Comments
