Raheem Sterling travels to Los Angeles to join up with his new Chelsea team-mates ahead of his official unveiling this week. The Manchester City forward is expected to seal a £50million move within the next 24 hours once he has a medical. Former Liverpool striker Sterling will be on a £300,000-a-week deal and will sign a five-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. He could then make his Chelsea debut in Charlotte next Wednesday or Arsenal on Saturday week in Orlando. But it is believed he will not feature before then against Club America in Las Vegas on Saturday. Meanwhile, Chelsea have completed the signing of Kalidos Koulibaly, according to reports. The defender revealed earlier today that talks with the Blues were heading in the right direction. And now it has been confirmed that those talks have resulted in Koulibaly’s move to Stamford Bridge being completed. The Blues will cough up €40m to Napoli for the centre-back, who will earn €10m over five years, according to Sky Sports. Elsewhere, Chelsea stopper Edward Mendy is confident he will have a solid defensive duo in front of him next season. The Blues have lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen at the back this summer. But Mendy is not worried as he is confident the Blues will bring in the right players to replace the duo. He told The Times: “We were happy with Tony and Christensen, but I think we’re more than happy with the defenders who will be arriving.” Finally, Cesar Azplicueta will only be allowed to complete his dream move to Barcelona if Chelsea sign a replacement. The Blues have already lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer. And they refuse to let Azpilicueta go without bringing in fresh faces, according to the Daily Mail.
