At around 9.30pm on Friday July 8, police were called to a report of a woman who had been found lying in North Road. Officers spoke to witnesses at the scene and it is believed that a fight had broken out with a group of people prior to the incident. READ: Police seal off North Road, St Helens due to ‘ongoing incident’ During the disturbance, a Ford Fiesta reportedly crashed into several people. The vehicle then reportedly left the scene and was found abandoned a short distance away. A woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s were both taken to hospital with head injuries and a woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with back and facial injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. A 20-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of a fight. The incident is under investigation and investigations are ongoing. Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne said: “Our inquiries are in the early stages as we try to establish what happened last night.
