According to tech expert Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple will introduce three watch models and one of them could be a durable model that could be released as a Pro version. Gurman, in the latest version of his newsletter, said the Cupertino-based company will introduce the Pro version with a larger, shatter-resistant screen, improved battery life and, most importantly, a stronger and sturdier case. The case is said to be made of a non-aluminum material. The Pro watch will have improved hiking and swimming tracking features. According to Gurman, the new extreme sports version may replace the existing Apple Watch version. “This smartwatch will be designed to appeal to extreme sports athletes and anyone who might otherwise buy a high-end Garmin sports watch for intense workouts. I also think its larger screen, larger battery, and metal design will make it attractive to anyone who simply wants the most advanced Apple Watch,” Gurman wrote in his newsletter. « Back to recommendation stories According to the tech journalist, Apple plans to name the watch Pro in an effort to expand its product portfolio. The Apple Watch Pro will likely come with an S8 chip seen in the Watch Series 7 and 6 devices. Gurman also revealed that Apple could launch the Pro version between 900 and 999 USD due to the advanced specifications and high-quality materials used. Currently, the Swiss brand Garmin is a pioneer in offering robust and high-tech fitness smartwatches. Many tech experts believe that Apple’s plan to introduce the Pro version of the Apple Watch could be the way to take on Garmin.
