He added that he had “never supported self-ID” and that he “disagreed” with calls to separate the gender reassignment process from health care. While some trans people are legally female “that doesn’t mean they’re identical to me” as a biological female, she added.
“I support women-only spaces”
She said: “I understand why this is such a critical issue for women. I support women only spaces. I don’t want any backsliding on women’s rights.” Ms Mordaunt was also criticized for introducing a bill that referred to a “pregnant person”, although she insisted she was not responsible for the pension and fought to change it.
