By David Opinko July 14, 2022 | 15:45 LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has arrested a suspect in what officers described as a “high risk incident.” In the early afternoon of Thursday, July 14, 2022, police were called to the Lethbridge Legal Guidance office in the 400 block of 5 Street South. LPS says a female employee was taken hostage inside the building and suffered life-threatening injuries. He has been taken to hospital for treatment. “While there is no longer an ongoing threat to public safety, all members of the public are asked to stay away from the area while the investigation is ongoing,” reads a media release from LPS.
