A Man On An Electric Scooter Has Suffered Life Threatening Injuries After Being Hit By A Vehicle In The City Centre

It happened near University Avenue and Elm Street around 6:30 p.m
Police say a man was riding his scooter east on Elm Street when a driver of a 2018 Mini Cooper was traveling south on University Avenue and hit the scooter.
The 27-year-old man riding the scooter was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The 55-year-old female driver of the Mini Cooper remained at the scene.
