Officers responded at about 12:45 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the 8100 block of Leeds Street, the Downey Police Department said in a news release. The scene was in a neighborhood made up of single-family homes. Officers arrived to find five people, identified only as four men and one woman, shot, the statement said. Three men were pronounced dead at the scene. The man and woman who survived were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, authorities said. The circumstances leading up to the shooting were unknown, but the press release said the preliminary investigation “revealed that the incident was isolated and there are currently no outstanding suspects.” DEVELOPMENT: More details will be added to this report as they become available.
