Laval police received a 911 call to report that the balcony had collapsed around 5:30 p.m. Along with the child, three other family members were standing on the balcony. All of them were rushed to the hospital. While the baby’s injuries are serious, Laval police say the child’s life is not in danger. Police officers remained at the scene on Avenue Hotel-de-Ville. in the evening to determine exactly why the structure collapsed.
